Director of Nursing Resource Center to supervise students in clinical setting; coordinate the activities of the skills laboratory including: maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment, and learning resources; work with students in skills practice, demonstration, simulation and remediation; maintain a clean, fully-equipped nursing skills and simulation lab; manage the room set-up and clean-up for demonstration of clinical procedures and practice; maintain lab and simulation equipment, including upkeep and maintenance schedules; collaborate on ordering and maintaining inventory of all lab supplies and equipment; recommend purchases of lab equipment and supplies; supervise nursing students and student employees in the center; work collaboratively with all faculty in scheduling the skills and simulation lab; prepare skills lab demonstrations and simulated learning activities in coordination with the Simulation coordinator; provide resources in the skills and simulation lab for mastery of psychomotor and clinical reasoning; assist faculty with audiovisual needs; assess audiovisual and computer needs of the department; recommend purchase of audiovisual materials; serve on committees; teach up to three (3) credit/contact hours of lab course(s) per semester; other activities as assigned by the Department Chair. Position is a full-time, nine-month appointment on the Oxford Campus.
Require: Master of Science in Nursing with a minimum of 24 months’ nursing experience; competence in working with computers; strong interpersonal skills; eligibility for RN licensure in Ohio. Desire: Experience in medical-surgical nursing; experience with troubleshooting problems with computers and software programs.
