PLEASE BE ADVISED that this position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Cook County and the National Nurses Organizing Committee. Pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement, Cook County will exhaust internal eligible applicants prior to considering external applicants. Cook County is assembling a list of qualified candidates for this position that will be considered should the position not be filled with internal eligible applicants.
JOB SUMMARY
MATERNAL CHILD - PICU - STROGER HOSPITAL - SHIFT: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
(36 hours a week/72 hours a pay period)
The Clinical Nurse II is a professional care provider who is responsible and accountable for overall management of patient care on a specific shift as well as maintaining comprehensive knowledge of patient's condition. Provides safe, effective individualized nursing care using the nursing process. Performance of these duties require skills, effective working relationships, setting priorities and demonstrated knowledge of standard operating policies and procedures .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois.
- One (1) year of current Pediatric Intensive Care Unit nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Must possess an active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card ( ACLS ). ( Must provide card at time of interview )
- Must possess an active Basic Life Support card ( BLS ). ( Must provide card at time of interview )
- Must possess an active Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS ) certification. (Must provide card at time of interview)
Any NNOC member who responds and/or accepts this position will waive his/her right to the 60 (sixty) day trial period in accordance with Section 4.4(N) of the CBA as of the date of this posting.
