Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure-Track) and Program Director
The department of Health and Sport Sciences in the College of Education and Health Sciences is currently seeking a full-time Faculty Tenure Track Position (Open Rank) in Nutrition, who will also serve as the Director of the Nutrition Program starting Fall 2020.
Teaching traditional undergraduate and full online graduate courses, curriculum development, advising and mentoring of students and part time faculty, and service to school, university and community.
The Program Director is responsible for ongoing program implementation and evaluation.
The Program Director will collaborate with the Chair and faculty of the department of Health and Sport Sciences and with the Dean and faculty of the College of Education and Health Sciences to assure a state of the art curriculum and foster interdisciplinary approaches.
The Program Director supports student recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with the University.
Earned a Ph.D. in Nutrition or a related field.
Evidence of teaching courses in Nutrition programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Administrative experience and Registered Dietician license are assets.
Experience teaching online and integration of technology into teaching is preferred.
A track record of scholarship and service should be commensurate with rank.
Academic experiences with culturally diverse populations are sought.

The Nutrition program currently offers a fully online MS in Nutrition degree and undergraduate service courses to the department of Health and Sport Sciences at the Garden City campus. The program is currently housed in the College of Nursing and Public Health and will be housed in the department of Health and Sport Sciences in the College of Education and Health Sciences starting Fall 2020. The MS Nutrition degree appeals to individuals from a broad range of educational and professional backgrounds who value the relationship between nutrition and health. It is geared toward working professionals in health and related fields who seek to expand their knowledge and/or earn a professional credential required for employment or career advancement. The department currently offers undergraduate programs in exercise science, physical education and sport management and graduate programs in exercise science, community health promotion, school health and physical education and sport management.
