Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator to join our Emergency Department. Fairview Lakes Medical Center provides award-winning care to the communities northeast of the Twin Cities. We are a Level IV trauma center with 24 beds, providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day.
Casual on day/evening/night shifts
8 hour shifts
Location: Wyoming, MN
The Health Unit Coordinator performs a variety of clerical functions to support the health care team staff. The HUC is the receptionist for the unit and greets patients and visitors and provides them with information and directions. The coordinator manages patient charts and medical record flow.
Duties may include:
Coordinates activities of nursing station to support patient care staff
Manages medical record flow and patient care charts
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Demonstrates ability to provide service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served

One year HUC experience or equivalent experience if HUC training program has not been completed
Knowledge of medical terminology, communication skills, computer proficiency.
High school diploma or G.E.D
Successful completion of a HUC training program or equivalent in experience.
