SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nursing Professional Development Generalist supports the quality of care provided to patients by Department of Nursing staff through optimal orientation programs, ongoing evaluation of competence, and support of lifelong learning. The Nursing Professional Development Specialist promotes relevant professional development opportunities and mentorship for members of the department of nursing at all levels to assist with the achievement of personal and professional goals. This position supports the Adult Ed and Life Lion

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required
  
• Two (2) years nursing experience 
• Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the State of employment 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience
